Brooklyn Bridge Park presents, Award-winning, kindie music duo, Play Date in concert! They'll be bringing their guitars and infectious, positive energy playing popular songs like "Dance Like a Monster," "Anyone Can Sing," "Rad," and debuting songs from their new album, We All Shine!
Interactive, feel-good and fun rocking tunes for the whole family and perfect for ages 2-8.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Award-winning, Husband/wife duo Greg Attonito (The Bouncing Souls) and singer/songwriter, Shanti Wintergate are the heart of the kindie music group, Play Date. The goal of their music is to inspire children to use their imaginations - and their dance moves - to explore the world around them. Play Date's aptly-named album, Imagination won NAPPA's 2015 "Silver" Award, 2014 Parents' Choice "Fun Suff" Award & Creative Child's 2014 Seal of Excellence Award. "There's always been a strong sense of self-discovery and independence in good kids' music, and Play Date's album, Imagination, has it all." - Stefan Shepherd, NPR. Play Date's song "XYZ" was recently featured in a Nordstrom Back to School video called "The AtoZ Life."
ABOUT THE PIER KIDS SERIES:
Sing, Dance, and Draw! The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s eight week children’s series, Pier Kids encompasses culture, science, and literature. The program draws on a wealth of family musicians and cultural groups like the Central Park Zoo’s Wildlife Theater and the Puppetmobile, as well as notable Brooklyn children’s authors to create entertaining and educational events. Activities vary each week and are accompanied by arts and crafts and an outdoor pop-up reading room from the Uni Project. Each program is followed by art activities from Private Picassos at 12 pm.
